ENGINE SYSTEM OPERATION WHILE
DRIVING
a) Check engine performance over a broad range
of driving conditions including acceleration, cruising and
deceleration.
b) Make sure engine operation is smooth and
responsive.
c) Make sure the gauges, speedometer and engine
Indicator operations are smooth and accurate.
ELECTRIC COOLING FANS
a )Check that the engine cooling fans rotate smoothly.
CAUTION:
The engine cooling fans are controlled depending on engine
coolant temperature. Do not touch the fans when the engine
is hot.
b) Turn the air conditioning on and build up sufficient
pressure. Check that the electric cooling fans turn on
and rotate smoothly.
CAUTION:
The electric cooling fans are controlled depending on air
conditioning refrigerant pressure. Do not touch the fans
when the “A/C” switch is turned on.
PARKING BRAKE
Check brake effort. Check for pull or any abnormal noise.
