ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL
Visually check the coolant level through the coolant
reservoir tank when the engine is cool. The coolant level is
satisfactory if the level is between the “FULL” and “LOW”.

Only use “Toyota Super Long Life Coolant.”
CAUTION:
To prevent burning yourself, do not remove the radiator cap
when the engine is hot.
BATTERY TERMINAL TIGHTNESS AND
CHARGE
a) Check the electrolyte level. If the electrolyte level is low,
check the battery case for leakage.
b) Check the battery charge. Measure the open-circuit
battery voltage between the terminals. If the voltage
reading is less than 12.6 volts, recharge the battery.
NOTE:
Before measuring the voltage, turn off the engine and all
electrical systems. Wait 60 seconds to remove the surface
charge. If the engine was running before measuring the
voltage, wait 20 minutes after the engine stops to remove
the surface charge.
c) Check that the battery terminals are properly connected
and that the clamp is firmly installed.
