NOTE: The maximum frequency range is applied at 80MHz and 800MHz
NOTE: These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation is influenced
by absorption and reflection from structures, objects and people.
NOTE: The intensity of the field for fixed transmitters, such as base stations for radio-
telephones (mobile and cordless telephones) and terrestrial mobile radios, amateur radio
equipment, AM and FM radio transmitters and TV transmitters cannot be known precisely
in theory. To assess an electromagnetic environment caused by fixed RF transmitters, consider
performing an on-site electromagnetic inspection. If the field intensity measured outside the
shielded room, in the place where a Piuma UP system is being used, exceeds the applicable
level of conformity indicated above, normal functioning of the Piuma UP system must
be monitored. If abnormal functioning is observed, additional measures may be necessary, such
as changing the position of the Piuma UP system or using a shielded room with more efficient
RF shielding and greater filter attenuation
NOTE: Above the frequency range of 150KHz and up to 80MHz, the resistance field
should be under 3 V/m
Recommended separation distances between portable and mobile radio communications
equipment and the Piuma UP system
The Piuma UP system is intended to operate in an electromagnetic environment in which
radiated RF disturbances are under control. The client or operator of the Piuma UP system
can contribute to preventing electromagnetic interference by ensuring a minimum distance
between the mobile and portable RF communications devices (transmitters) and the Piuma
UP system as recommended below, in relation to the maximum output power of the radio
communication equipment.
