Procedures to Replace Inactive Redundant Power Supply

Module

These  procedures  provide  instructions  on  removing  inactive  redundant  power  supply
module  and  installing  a  new  redundant  power  supply  module  in  Managed  Ethernet
Switch  while  Managed  Ethernet  Switch  still  keeps  operating  normally  with  another
redundant power supply module.

1.

Make sure to turn off the power source connected to inactive redundant power
supply module first, by loosening terminal block screws and disconnect power cables
from terminal block on inactive redundant power supply module.

2.

Loosen inactive redundant power supply module screws and remove inactive
redundant power supply module from redundant power supply slot of Managed
Ethernet Switch.

3.

Slide in new redundant power supply module in redundant power supply slot of
Managed Ethernet Switch and tighten new redundant power supply module screws.

4.

Connect power cables to terminal block on new redundant power supply module by
tightening terminal block screws.

5.

Turn on the power source connected to new redundant power supply module.
