Displaying Information on Authentication Servers

Unknown Types
– The number of RADIUS packets of unknown
type that were received from this server on the authentication port.
■
Packets Dropped
– The number of RADIUS packets that were
received from this server on the authentication port and dropped for
some other reason.

Transmit Packets
■
Access Requests
– The number of RADIUS Access-Request
packets sent to this server. This does not include retransmissions.
■
Access Retransmissions
– The number of RADIUS Access-
Request packets retransmitted to this RADIUS authentication
server.
■
Pending Requests
– The number of RADIUS Access-Request
packets destined for the server that have not yet timed out or
received a response. This variable is incremented when an Access-
Request is sent and decremented due to receipt of an Access-
Accept, Access-Reject, Access-Challenge, timeout, or
retransmission.
■
Timeouts
– The number of authentication timeouts to the server.
After a timeout, the client may retry to the same server, send to a
different server, or give up. A retry to the same server is counted as
a retransmit as well as a timeout. A send to a different server is
counted as a Request as well as a timeout.

IP Address
– IP address and UDP port for the authentication
server.
■
State
– The current state of the server. This field takes one of the
following values:

Disabled
– The server is disabled.
■
Not Ready
– The server is enabled, but IP communication is not
yet up and running.
■
Ready
– The server is enabled, IP communication is up and
running, and the RADIUS module is ready to accept access
attempts.
■
Dead
(X seconds left) – Access attempts were made to this
server, but it did not reply within the configured timeout. The
server has been temporarily disabled, but will be re-enabled
when the dead-time expires. The number of seconds left before
this occurs is displayed in parentheses.
■
Round-Trip Time
– The time interval (measured in milliseconds)
between the most recent Access-Reply/Access-Challenge and the
