2.1
General safety notices
Documentation
All entries in this technical description must be heeded, in particular those in section "Safety
notices". Keep this technical description in a safe place. It should be available at all times.
Safety regulations
Observe the locally applicable legal regulations and the rules of the employer's liability insur-
ance association.
Repair
Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer or an authorized representative.

Safety standards
The devices of the series RFM - HF RFID Series were developed, manufactured and tested
in accordance with the applicable safety standards. They correspond to the state of the art.
2.3
Intended use
Attention!
The protection of personnel and the device is guaranteed only if the device is operated in a
manner corresponding to its intended use.
The RFM 12/32/62 SL 200 model read/write systems based on radio frequency identifica-
tion (RFID) are electronic devices for inductive data transmission from/to compatible code
and data carriers, so-called transponders. The systems are used primarily for automatic
object detection and material flow control. The MA 2xx connector units simplify the elec-
trical connection of the RFM 12/32/62… read/write systems and facilitate the connection
to various interfaces and fieldbus systems.
