Installing device drivers for Windows operating systems
After you finish installing a Windows operating system, you might need to download and install the device
drivers to ensure that the hardware devices in your server work correctly.
To identify hardware devices that are not working correctly, open Device Manager by doing the following:
1. Click
Start
.
2. Right-click
My Computer
.
3. Click
Manage
and select
Device Manager
in the left pane.
In Device Manager, hardware devices that are not working correctly are usually listed under
Other Devices
and are indicated by a yellow exclamation mark.
To download and install a device driver, do the following:
1. Go to http://www.lenovo.com/drivers.
2. Follow the instructions on the Web page to locate and download the desired device driver installation file.
3. Copy the installation file to the server where the device driver is to be installed, and then double-click
the installation file.
4. Click
Next
in the Welcome window.
5. In the License Agreement window, select
I accept the terms in the license agreement
, and then
click
Next
to continue.
6. Specify the path where you want to save the installation file, and then click
Next
.
7. Click
Install
to begin the installation process.
8. When you are prompted that the installation has completed, click
