For the connection of the VGA connector, ensure that the DVI-I to VGA adapter also is
secured by the screws on both sides of it.
• If the problem persists, disconnect all connections of the pro dock, and uninstall the pro dock device
driver. Then, reinstall the device driver and the pro dock.

You cannot play back videos on the external monitor but can play them back on the notebook
computer monitor.
Some notebook computers do not support the Certified Output Protection Protocol (COPP), and
you will not be able to play back the protected videos on the external monitor connected to the pro
dock. The Corel WinDVD 10 program also has limitations on playing back videos in the Windows
XP operating system.
To play back videos on the external monitor, you can connect the external monitor to the VGA connector
on your notebook computer, and extend the display to the external monitor. For more information about
configuring the display settings, see “Working with the pro dock utility” on page 30.

The images on the external monitor flutter.
To solve the problem, check the following:
• Ensure that the external monitor is well connected to the DVI-I video output connector of the pro dock.
• Check the display resolution setting of the notebook computer and ensure that the resolution is
supported by the pro dock.

The images on the external monitor is not in correct colors.
To solve the problem, do the following:
a. Ensure that the external monitor is well connected to the DVI-I video output connector of the pro
dock.
b. Check the display resolution setting of the computer and ensure that the resolution is supported
by the pro dock.

The computer can play back Web flashes. However, when you drag the window to the external
monitor and maximize the playback window, the playback stops.
To solve the problem, update your Adobe Flash Player to the latest version.
6.
The video files cannot be played smoothly on screen.
Ensure that you stop running the program which may influence the CPU performance during video
playback.
Audio
You cannot hear anything through your notebook computer speakers or you cannot use the audio
connectors on the notebook computer.
By default, ThinkPad and other Lenovo
®
notebook computers use the headset and microphone combo
connector on the pro dock and disable built-in audio connectors when the pro dock is connected.
