Changing
settings
using
the
utility
diskette
For
models

two
diskettes

BIOS,
use
the
utility
diskette
to
set

machine
type,
serial
number,
UUID,
and
asset
tag.
Make
sure
the
computer
is
turned
off
and
insert
the
utility
diskette.
Then
turn
on
the
computer.

file
on
the
utility
diskette
for
specific
information
about
the
settings
that
you
can
change.

Recovering

a
POST/BIOS
update
failure
If
power
to
your
computer
is
interrupted
while
POST/BIOS
is
being
updated
(flash
update),
your
computer
might
not
restart
correctly.

happens,
perform

following
procedure
commonly
called
Boot-block
Recovery.

Turn
off
the
computer
and
any
attached
devices,

as
printers,

and
external

Unplug
all
power
