Removing a QSFP+ Module
To remove the QSFP+ module from the switch port, complete the following steps.
1. Read the safety information that begins on
page 5
and
“Installation Guidelines”
on page 16
.
2. Read the information in
“Handling Transceiver Modules” on page 23
.
3. Remove the fiber optic cable from the module that you want to replace. For
more information about removing the cable, see
“Disconnecting a Fiber Optic
Cable” on page 27
.
Attention:
To avoid damage to the cable or the module, make sure that you
disconnect the fiber-optic cable before you remove the QSFP+ module from the
switch port.
4. Unlock the module by pulling the wire tab straight out, as shown in the following
illustration.
5. Grasp the wire tab on the module and pull it out of the port.
6. Replace the protective cap on the module and the switch QSFP+ port.
7. Place the module into a static-protective package.
Locating the Information Panels, LEDs, and External Ports
This section describes the information panels and LEDs on the switch and identifies
the external ports on the information panels.
Note:
The illustrations in this document might differ slightly from your hardware.

The front panel of the switch contains a variety of ports and information LEDs.
