Disconnect all wires and cables from the paddle card and lift out.

Hard disk drive

To remove the hard disk drive do the following:

Turn off the computer and peripheral devices and disconnect all external cables
and power cords; then remove the cover. See “Removing the cover” on page 20.

Remove the CD/diskette drive tray. See“Accessing system board components”
on page 21.

Remove the 3 screws holding the hard disk tray and remove.

Disconnect all hard disk drive wires.

Remove the 4 screws attaching the hard disk to the hard disk tray.

Note:

When replacing the hard disk drive make sure you obtain the proper
Recovery CD to install after you install the new hard drive.
