15.4. Pin Management
a.
The Pin Management screen appears next. Here you can assigned the
installer and manager pins. A four-position number code will need to be
assigned to both before you can proceed with the commissioning. You will
be ask to enter the pin and then confirm the pin number. Pin numbers have
to be unique for both the installer and manager. Press
NEXT
to continue.
b.
Another pin management screen will appear which will allow you the
opportunity to change either pin before proceeding. Press
FINISH
to
continue.
NOTE:
When accessing screens that require a pin number, if there is no screen
activity after 10 minutes, the system will exit the current screen and
return you to the dashboard. Any information entered but not saved
will be lost. This timeout is not adjustable.
c. Managers
can access the following:
• Schedules
• Main dashboard
• Roof top unit read only parameters and alerts
• Alerts for all equipment
d. Installers
can access the following:

Equipment management such as adding and removing devices

Equipment configuration

From the list, select

to configure the iCON network.

NETWORK
screen, select
CONNECT VIA
. A pop-up screen will
appear which will allow you to select either
DISABLE
(default),
WI-FI
or
ETHERNET
.
NOTE:
On the CONNECT VIA screen there are icons that represent the
network connection status. Display, router, Internet and server. The
router, Internet and server icons should have a red X above them that
represents they are not connected.

previous menu.
NOTE:

Electromagnetic Interference Causing Poor Connectivity:
Locate the Central Hub and router away from other devices that could possibility
interfere with wireless communications. Some examples of other devices that
could interfere are:
•
Microwave ovens
• Wireless cameras
• Portable phones and bases
• Wireless speakers
•
Bluetooth devices
•
Other local wireless devices
To eliminate a possible source of interference, temporally disable any devices
and see if Wi-Fi performance has improved.
Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI)
The ideal signal strength range for the thermostat is -1 to -69 RSSI. The signal
strength can be viewed from the thermostat interface.
