- Check the oil level in the gearboxes (fig. 10).
The correct oil level in the distribution box is between the
bottom of the sight-glass (A) and the edge (B) of the
gearbox.
The correct oil level of the gearboxes fitted to the harrow
segments is between the end of the dipstick (C) and the
groove.
(For adding/changing oil please be referred to § 7.5.)
- Convince yourself of the presence and undamaged
condition of all safety decals on the machine (fig. 11).

Spring tension of rotor guards
The rotor guards (A, fig. 19) prevent the rotors from
sustaining any damage, especially when the machine is
working in soils with a lot of stones and the like.
For effective operation of the rotor guards, the springs need
to be extended up to approx. 270 mm. Correct spring length is
approx. 290 mm if the LELYTERRA harrow is fitted with
levelling boards B.
