behavior is to access the LX-928 setup menu. The M long
press is not user defined, as it locks or unlocks LX-928
keys and/or PTT. (See “LOCK”, Menu 09, for details.
The default functions of the programmable keys are as
follows:

P1 Long Press: Lamp(Torch)
P1 Short Press: Mute
P2 Long Press: Reverse
P2 Short Press: MONI(Monitor)
M Short Press: Enter the menu function
PTT ID (PTT ID): Menu 18
PTT ID allows you to send a code that identifies your
specific transceiver. The PTT ID code is defined in the
programming software; the default ID is “123”.
You can also set whether PTT ID’s are displayed or not.
If “Displayed” is selected, ID’s of up to SIX digits will be
displayed on the receiver’s screen.
Each channel stores whether the PTT ID is enabled.
To enable PTT ID:
In VFO / MR mode, select the frequency or channel on
which you would like to enable the PTT ID.
Set Menu 18 to ON if you would like to enable the PTT
ID, or OFF to disable it.
Note:
a) In CH Mode, you may not modify this setting.
b) In MR mode, each memory channel can be
