5.0 Energizing and De-energizing
Figure 18 Energizing
Note: Do not try to open the door with the welder in the “ON” position. You may damage the
switch.
5.1 Energizing
Energizing provides electrical current to the primary power panel, where it is distributed
throughout the various systems.
Perform the following steps:
1.
Before you energize the SEAMTEK 36, verify that all three cylinder mode select switches are
in the AUTO position. The cylinder mode select switches are WELD PRESSURE, CLAMP
PRESSURE AND NOZZLE.
2.
Place one of the lower wheel modules in the weld position
3.
When all the above steps have been completed, turn the main power switch to the ON (1)
position.
The computer automatically starts and runs through its self-test routine.
After about 15 seconds, the self-test is complete and the three cylinders assume their
Idle state. The nozzle is out, clamp pressure is on, holding the top wheel down against
the lower wheel, and weld pressure is off. The weld air will not be blowing at this time.
