Precautions for Safe Use
Power Supply and Cables
z
Connect the power supply plug directly into the 3-pole socket with
ground terminal, 100 to 240 VAC, 50/ 60 Hz, and 15 A min. Using a
power strip to extend or share the power supply may cause fire or
electric shock.
z
If the product is not going to be used for long periods of time, the
power cable plug must be disconnected from the power outlet.
z
Do not touch the power plug with wet hands. Doing so may result in
electric shock.
z
Do not place the power cable near heaters etc. or damage it.
z
If thunder is heard, do not touch the power plug.
z
Before connecting/disconnecting the cables, make sure that the
power to is turned OFF. Failure to observe this may result in fire or
electric shock.
z
Before moving the product to another site, the power cable and
connecting cables must be removed. Damage to the cables may result
in fire or electric shock.
z
The power cable included in the package is designed to be used in
Japan only. When it is used in a foreign country, please contact your
Leica Microsystems representative for information regarding the
approved power cable for use in that country according to the selec-
tion table ( P40).
Laser Safety
The Leica DVM5000 uses laser. Class 1 Laser Product
This product conforms to the requirements of DHHS rules 21 CFR Subchap-
ter J for Class 1 Laser Products. It also conforms to the requirements of (IEC
60825-1/A1: 2002) for Class 1 Laser Products.
