• Attach horizontal arm. Slide the support ring
( → "Fig. 97- 15 ") onto the vertical column and
position it so that the lock nut ( → "Fig. 97- 16 ") is
facing to the back. Tighten the lock nut. Slide
the cross-member (
→
"Fig. 97- 14 ") onto the
column. Ensure that the lock screw ( → "Fig.
97- 17 ") is facing to the right of the baseplate.
The horizontal arm must be centered over the
microscope. Slide the horizontal arm ( → "Fig.
97- 3 ") , flat side facing the lock screw (
→
"Fig.
97- 17 ") , into the cross-member ( → "Fig. 97- 14 ")
and tighten.

6.8 Magnifying lens, LED illumination
Tips
The magnifying lens provides a 2x magnification and can be used with all HistoCore series rotary
microtomes.

• Open the screw (

direction.
• Insert the silver connection piece ( → "Fig. 98- 1 ") as far as it will go. Tighten the screw ( → "Fig. 98- 3 ") .
• The adapter ( → "Fig. 98- 2 ") allows the LED Hi-power spots to be installed. Connect the LED 1000 Hi-
Power spots, 2-arms, with the adapter ( → "Fig. 99") . Insert the plugs ( → "Fig. 99- 1 ") of the LED 1000
Hi-Power spots, 2-arm, into the sockets ( → "Fig. 99- 2 ") of the high-power spot controller ( → "Fig.
99- 3 ") . Connect the power adapter (
→
"Fig. 99- 4 ") of the LED 1000 control unit to the high-power spot
