PPP configuration
- Customized IP address
It is possible to change the default address, as long
as the addressing rules explained in Appendix 1 are
followed.
- Configuring remote access
It is advisable to change the “user name” (default
name: “LEGRAND”) and the “password” (default
password: “1234”) in the “PPP configuration” page.
- Using a standard telephone
network (STN line)
In the basic configuration, Omizzy™ picks up after
four rings. It is possible to choose the number of rings
before pick-up by adding the following HAYES
command in the “Configuration” screen:
For example: command to pick up after
6 rings:
ATS0 = 6 & W0
Note :
This command only works if the “Incoming call no.”
function is deactivated.
“Calling-line identification presentation”
(CLIP) function
This function is used to filter incoming calls.
Only numbers which are recognized (3 maximum)
can access the Omizzy™ server, which picks up with
no ringing in the house.
By default, the “Calling-line identification presentation”
function is deactivated.
To activate this function, select the option in
the “Configuration” page and fill in the authorized
telephone number(s).
- Use with a high-speed network
This configuration requires the presence of a local
area network (LAN).
This use does not require any special configuration
of the PPP mode.
Nota :
The calling-line identification presentation function is not
provided by Omizzy™ in this configuration.
Note :
When the calling-line identification function is activated, it
is possible to call the other devices in the home (telephone,
answering machine, fax, etc.) from a telephone known to
the server, by preceding the telephone number of the house
with the prefix 36 51, or by activating the “Anonymity”
function, if calling from a mobile telephone.
Important :
This function requires the “Calling number presentation”
service to be available.
