4.7 CONNECTION OF THE AUXILIARY CABLES
The UPS systems of the KEOR HPE 60÷80 kVA line can be connected to external controls/components
specifically designed to improve the safety and reliability of the device.
 External manual bypass (MBCB);
 External Normal/Bypass selector switch;
 External output switch (OCB);
 Remote emergency power off button (EPO);
 Auxiliary battery contact (BCB).
 Diesel generator
The auxiliary cables are connected to a dedicated terminal board. Wires of section AWG22 can be
connected to the terminals.
Auxiliary contacts of MBCB – BCB - OCB - EPO
The auxiliary contacts of the external switches MBCB, BCB ,OCB EPO (if provided)
must be mandatorily connected to the UPS on the EXT-INP pcb.

4.7.1 Battery auxiliary contact
Battery auxiliary contact on terminals X10-1/2.
This auxiliary contact is necessary to indicate the position of the isolator (open-closed).
4.7.2 Diesel Generator auxiliary contact
Auxiliary contact from the Diesel Generator on terminals X10-3/4.
A normally open contact must be used; the contact must close when the diesel generator is operating.
The microprocessor will acquire the status of the contact and, upon the rectifier start-up, it will enable the
"Diesel Mode" operation, that is the operation at reduced DC voltage in order to reduce the power drawn
from the AC line.

4.8 PROVISION FOR COLD START FUNCTION
Cold start auxiliary contact on terminals XC+, XN, XC-
This auxiliary contact is used to connect the pre-charge circuit which is necessary for implementing the
"Cold Start" function.
