POTENTIAL HAZARD
•
If you leave the wire on the spark plug, someone could start the engine.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
•
Accidental starting of engine could seriously injure you or other bystanders.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
•
Pull wire off spark plug before you do any maintenance. Also push wire aside so it
does not accidentally contact spark plug.
Air Filter
Models 10200, 10249, 10313 & 10321
Replace air filter once every season or every 25
hours; replace more frequently under dusty
conditions.
Note:
Do no attempt to clean or oil air filter
element. Do not operate engine
without air filter element; extreme
engine wear or damage will occur.
1.
To replace air filter, turn cover left
(counterclockwise); remove cover and air filter
(Fig. 17).
2.
Install new air filter into cover.
3.
Position filter and cover against flange with tab
of cover into slot in flange (Fig. 17).
4.
Push cover firmly against flange and rotate right
(clockwise) to lock.
Air Filter
Models 10248, 10327, 10328 & 10330
Clean pre-cleaner and air filter once every season or
every 25 hours: clean more frequently under dusty
conditions.
Note:
Do not operate engine without
pre-cleaner and air filter element;
extreme engine wear or damage will
occur.
1.
To remove pre-cleaner and air filter, unsnap
cover latch, remove cover, pre-cleaner and air
filter (Fig. 18).
2.
Wash pre-cleaner and air filter in laundry
detergent or kerosene (Fig. 19).
3.
Squeeze filters to remove excess liquid and blot
dry with a paper towel or rag.
4.
Apply one tablespoon of SAE 30W oil to the
pre-cleaner and air filter (Fig. 20).
