Tighten the three nuts (Fig. 8.6.3-2) (Fig. 8.6.4), screw the bolt (Fig. 8.6.3-5) (Fig. 8.6.7) and tighten the stopping nut
(Fig. 8.6.3-4) (Fig. 8.6.8). Check again the tension of the belt (Fig. 8.6.6).
It is possible for tensioning while changing the belt to use pre-installed support (Fig.8.6.3-7) (Fig.8.6.9) (only when its
factory position is not changed), to limit the turn of the tensioner when the required belt tension is done.
ATTENTION:NEVER “OVER” TENSION THE BELT, THE BELT WILL BE DESTROYED AND IT WILL NEVER
RECOVER ITS ORIGINAL TENSION
8.7 REPLACING THE PULLEY UNITS
Dismount guard, top cover, bottom cover and belts as previous described. Dismount the planetary tensioner.
(Fig.8.7.1-1).
Unscrew the screw on pos.2(Fig.8.7.1-2) and dismount the front
washer (Fig.8.7.1-3), the drive pulley of the planetary belt
(Fig.8.7.1-4), cotter (Fig.8.7.1-5) and security cap (Fig.8.7.1-6).
Unscrew the five screws on pos.7(Fig.8.7.1-7) and dismount the
driving pulley(Fig.8.7.1-8).
Unscrew
the
five
bolts
pos.10(Fig.8.7.1-10)(Fig.8.7.2)
and
dismount the other two units.
While mounting the pulley unit (Fig.8.7.1-8)
apply lithium grease
on the shaft and mount back the
cotter (Fig.8.7.1-5), security cap
(Fig.8.7.1-6), front washer(Fig.8.7.1-3) and guiding washer of the
planetary belt(Fig.8.7.1-4).
Tight the screw (
Fig.8.7.1-2)
by using always the “blue” thread
locking adhesive. Tightening force of the bolts has to be
9...11N.m(6.6...8 ft/lbs).
