Using the Lantronix SGX 5150 Serial Device Server

Required Equipment and Software
To configure your SGX 5150 and test its operation you need:
1. SGX 5150 Serial Device Server (normally installed in the data logger enclosure)
2. A USB to Serial Adapter, Lantronix Serial Port adapter cable
3. Computer with a Wi-Fi network adapter (most laptops have built in Wi-Fi and USB Wi-Fi adapters are
readily available to add Wi-Fi capability to a desktop)
4. Data logger (normally installed in the data logger enclosure)

The data logger system should have the serial cable which connects the SGX 5150 serial port to the data
logger serial port already installed.

Note -
Serial 1 and Serial 2 are sometimes referred to as “Line 1” and “Line 2” by Lantronix.
