is recovered from 2048 kbit/s signal received from port B.

6 Diagnostic
loops
It is possible to set up three tributary diagnostic loops in the TM-81 multiplexer:
•
On the A port of line interface,
•
On the B port of line interface,
•
On ports A and B of line interface.
Loops are closed by using CONFIGURATION switches located on front panel of the device
(sectors 8 and 9):
Closed tributary loop from the side of A port.
Closed tributary loop from the side of B port.
Closed tributary loop from the side of A and B ports.
6.1 Tributary loop on the “A” port
The tributary loop on A port is set up by actuating the switch No. 8 belonging to the
CONFIGURATION group of switches. Closing of the loop is signaled by blinking of the AIS
diode of the port A. Simultaneously, the AIS signal is sent from the output of “B” port.
