The Lancier Tx Bus
The Lancier Tx bus allows for connection of up to 127 sensors to a pair of mon-
itoring wires. Please note that the ACS can monitor up to 10 parameters that
are transmitted in ten successive time windows, i.e. the ACS uses ten address-
es in the Tx bus. Inasmuch as the measurement values of all sensors connected
to the Tx bus are transferred at separate times, the sensors must be encoded
with a unique address prior to integration.
Encoding
Safety advisory!
Switch off all current in all wires before opening the housing!
• The eight-pin encoding switches (
16
) are located on the lower right side near
the center of the motherboard.
• To define the ACS address, use the encoding switch (
16/33
) and a narrow
slotted screwdriver (see encoding table).
Lower switch = 0 = “off”, Upper switch = 1 = “on”
The values of the switch is defined as follows:
Switch 1:
value 1
Switch 2:
value 2
Switch 3:
value 4
Encoding switch (
16/33
)
Switch 4:
value 8
set to “27”
Switch 5:
value 16
Switch 6:
value 32
Switch 7:
value 64
Switch 8:
test switch (should be set to off)
The lowest address “n” is to be encoded. All other ACS sensors are automati-
cally assigned to the next highest address of the previous sensor in the follow-
ing sequence:
n
= alarm contact
n+1 = system voltage
n+2 = (most recent) compressor runtime
n+3 = number of compressor operating hours
n+4 = relative humidity of output air
n+5 = output air temperature
n+6 = external temperature sensor for ambient air
n+7 = external sensor for compressor temperature
n+8 = external pressure sensor
n+9 = total air flow (flow sensor)
In order to enable readout for the ten Tx bus sensors, the value “n” must not
exceed 117.
