Thank you for choosing the LANAFORM New
Baby Scale.
The accurate and easy to use digital New
Baby Scale allows you to weigh your baby
to a precision of 5 grams.
The New Baby Scale is a useful instrument
for you and your baby during the first few
months of their life.

Never leave the baby unsupervised when
using the New Baby Scale.
The scale is not suitable for babies weighing
over 20kg. Overloading the scale may cause
damage and injury.
Always place the New Baby Scale on a hard,
flat, horizontal surface, away from sources of
heat such as stoves, radiators etc.
Do not use this device in a room in which
aerosols (sprays) are used or in a room in
which oxygen is administered.
Do not use the device near wet areas, such
as the bath, sink etc.
Do not immerse the device in water or any
other liquid.
When using the scale, keep them away from
sources of electromagnetic waves such as
microwave ovens, mobile telephones and
wireless networks, as this may affect the
measurement.
To avoid electrocution, do not try to repair
the device yourself.
In case of electrostatic failure, install the bat-
teries again to resume normal performance.
If the screen is showing an “Err” error message,
switch off the scale. Then power up again and
follow the instructions.
Never leave anything on the scale platform
when not in use.
When not in use, the scale switch off automat-
ically after a few minutes. To switch off the
scale more quickly, press the
on
/
off
button
for half a second.
This equipment is not intended for use by
people, including children, with limited phys-
ical, sensory or mental abilities, or by people
lacking experience or knowledge, unless
they are supervised or have been instructed
beforehand on how to use the equipment by
someone responsible for their safety. Chil-
dren should be supervised to make sure they
do not play with the device.
Only use the New Baby Scale for its intended
purpose, as described in the manual.

PREPARATION AND BATTERY

Installing the battery
1 Remove the battery compartment
cover underneath the scale.
2 Remove the plastic protection from
the CR2032 battery or insert a new
CR2032 battery if necessary.
3 Replace the cover.
4 Place the scale on a hard, flat surface
before weighing your baby.
5 Before placing the baby on the scale,
make sure that the surface of the scale
is completely dry and not slippery. You
can also place a towel on the scale.

2 The measuring unit will be displayed
the next time the scale is switched on.
NORMAL WEIGHING FUNCTION
1 Press the
on
/
off
button to
switch on the scale.
2 kg (lb or oz (pounds: ounces)
depending on the measuring unit se-
lected) will be displayed on the screen.
3 Place the baby on the scale. If
the baby moves too much, select
the
hold
function which will set the
baby’s weight when they are more
still. When the “Hold” icon stops
flashing, the weight will remain the
same for a further 20 seconds.
4 “Err” will be displayed if the
scale is overloaded.
WEIGHING FUNCTION
WITH A TOWEL
1 Press the
on
/
off
button to
switch on the scale.
2 kg (lb or oz (pounds: ounces)
depending on the measuring unit se-
lected) will be displayed on the screen.
3 Place a towel on the scale. The weight
of the towel will be displayed.
4 When the “Hold” icon appears and
stops flashing, press the
tare
button.
5 The “Tare” icon and “ kg” (lb or
oz (pounds: ounces) depending on
the measuring unit selected) will
be displayed on the screen again.

Leave the towel on the scale. If
you take it off the scale, the screen
will show a negative weight.
6 Place the naked baby on the scale.
Repeat the operation with the
hold
button as explained above in the
“normal weighing” section, if necessary.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the New
Baby Scale.
Do not use abrasive detergents.
In case of prolonged lack of use of the device,
remove the batteries.
Store the device in a dry, safe place.
ADVICE ON WASTE
DISPOSAL
The packaging consists entirely of environ-
mentally-friendly materials that can be taken
to your local waste sorting centre to be used
as secondary materials. Cardboard can be
placed in a paper collection container. Pack-
ing film must be taken to your local sorting
and recycling centre.
