14.3.5. Error Initialisation RTC (Real-Time Clock)
The error is raised if the initialisation of the RTC (Real-Time Clock) fails.
Possible cause:
Troubleshoot:
Connecting cable between
main board and heating board
not plugged in
Reconnect the connecting cable of the main board to the heating board. The
plug snaps into place with a click sound.
Heating board defective!
Replacement heating board
After troubleshooting, please restart the
rain[e]H3
.
14.3.6. Error External Temperature Sensor
The error is raised if the external temperature sensor no longer provides data for estimating the type of precipitation.
Possible cause:
Troubleshoot:
Internal heating connector (top)
not plugged in
Then the error flag “Fault heating“ is also set. Plug the heating connector to
the heating board.
The outside temperature
sensor is defective
The outside temperature sensor does not provide any data. The temperature
sensor must be replaced.
After troubleshooting, please restart the
rain[e]H3
.
14.3.7 Error Quality of Supply Voltage
The error is raised if the quality of the voltage supply fluctuates strongly.
Possible cause:
Troubleshoot:
External power supply defec-
tive!
Check the external power supply and replace the power supply unit if neces-
sary.
Cable defective (loose contact) Check the supply cable and the connection terminals, or replace the cable if
necessary.
After troubleshooting, please restart the
rain[e]H3
.
15 Repair
Before any repairs on the electronics, it is recommended that the sensor be switched off. The
rain[e]H3
has an
internal switch via which the sensor detects whether the sensor housing is open. When the housing is open or
not locked, the
rain[e]H3
stops the measurement until the housing is closed again.
15.1 Repairs on Site
The following repairs can be carried out on site:
• Replacing the dirt trap spiral
• Replacing the protective grid
• Replacing the collecting vessel
• Replacing the upper part of the housing, including upper heating and upper temperature sensor
• Replacing the protective cylinder
• Replacing the mounting screws (M8x20)
• Replacing the knurled screw
• Replacing the level
