4. Pour your batter onto the lower hotplate and close the lid to cook. If necessary, use
a spatula to spread the batter in to the corners of the grid. The batter should be level
with the top of the raised parts. The lower hotplate is divided into four quarters for
individual waffles. You can choose to make 1-4 waffles, you do not have to fill each
quater of the hotplate. At this point the green READY light will go off as the baking
cycle begins.
5. Close waffle maker and rotate unit 180° to the right
(clockwise).
DO NOT
rotate to the left (anti-clockwise) and open for
at least 1½ minutes. Opening the lid too soon will cause
under-baked waffles to split, making them difficult to
remove.
6. When the green READY light goes on again, rotate
waffle maker 180° to the left (anti-clockwise). Your
waffles should be done according to the temperature
control setting that you’ve chosen. If you want them
darker, close the lid and continue baking until the
desired colour is achieved.
7. Once your food is cooked to your preference, carefully remove the waffle(s) with a
heat resistant nylon or silicone cooking utensil.
8. If more waffles are needed, close waffle maker to retain heat. Always be sure the
green READY light comes on again and then goes off before making more waffles.
9. Switch off and unplug the Belgian Flip Waffle Maker, allow it to cool completely
before cleaning and storing.
10. Cooking times will vary depending on the foods you are cooking, lift the lid and cook
for a couple more minutes if needed.
