INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1.  Ensure that the temperature control knob is turned to

the off position. Plug into the socket and switch on.

The red POWER light will illuminate when plugged in

to show the Belgian Flip Waffle Maker is switched on.
Pre-heat the waffle maker by turning the temperature

control knob to the maximum heat setting. The green

READY light will come on and illuminate to show the

hotplates are heating up to temperature required. When

the green READY light goes out the waffle maker is

ready to use and the appliance is ready to use.

Always ensure the green READY light has gone off, otherwise your food may stick and

not cook through properly.
The green READY light may go on and off for a while if the appliance has lost heat whilst

the batter has been added or the temperate has changed. This is normal and will turn

back off once the appliance is back up to temperature.

2.  The Belgian Flip Waffle Maker has variable temperature

settings. At first, try a setting in the middle. You may

later adjust it according to your preference. A lower

setting produces a lighter colored waffle, while waffles

made at a higher setting are darker and crisper.

Different waffle batters will also cook differently.

3.   Lift the lid carefully by the lid handle and spray both the hotplates with a little spray

oil or brush the hotplates with oil before or after switching on the Belgian Flip Waffle

Maker. If brushing oil onto the heated hotplates, use a heat resistant silicone basting

or pastry brush.Take care, the hotplates are hot and oil may spit.

USING YOUR BELGIAN FLIP WAFFLE MAKER

FOR THE FIRST TIME

•  Unpack the Belgian Flip Waffle Maker, remove all the packaging materials.
•   Wipe the hotplates with a damp soapy cloth, then wipe with a clean damp cloth and

dry thoroughly.

•  When you switch on the Belgian Flip Waffle Maker for the first time there may be a

slight burning smell. This is normal for a new product and will disappear after a few

uses. It may affect the flavour of the first set of waffles prepared in the appliance, it is

recommended that you discard these.
