3.1.2.1 Darkness:
Use this option to set print darkness (print temperature), minimum darkness being 0, to maximum
darkness 30, in steps of 1. The default setting is 16. For any given type of label the best quality is
obtained empirically by balancing print speed against darkness.
Press
UP
and
DOWN
to increase/decrease the printing darkness. Press
SELECT
key to enable
the setting. Press
MENU
key to cancel the setting and return to the previous menu.
Note: These settings, made at the printer, will be over-written by commands from the labelling
software (label template) at print time unless the “Use current printer settings” option is used
in the labelling software.
3.1.2.2 Print Speed:
Use this option to set print speed in increments/decrements of 1 inch per second. Press
UP
key to
increase the print speed, and
DOWN
key to decrease it. Press
SELECT
to enter the value. Press
MENU
to cancel the setting and return to the previous menu.

software (label template) at print time unless the “Use current printer settings” option is used
in the labelling software.
3.1.2.3 Tear Off:
This option controls the stop position of the label after printing. In default setting the label
stops dead after printing, leaving it partially inside the printer, but Tear-off can be set so that
the label halts where it may be torn off against the exit bar of the printer. The stop position
(otherwise known as Feed Offset) is adjustable. Press the
DOWN
key to move the cursor
from left digit to right digit, and press the
UP
key
to set the value from “+” to “-” or “0” to “9”.
