Locking the amplifier
1. Go to the Pane l Lock screen by pressing the S ET UP button.
2. Press the S E L E C T encoder knob to access the password screen.
3. Set an access code by using the S E L E C T encoder knob. Rotate the knob to scro ll through the character l ist, and then se l ect characters by pressing. With each press
on the S E L E C T encoder knob, the password cursor wi ll advance l eft to right by one space.
4. T he amp l ifier wi ll automatica ll y l ock when you se l ect the fina l character for the access code. T he disp l ay wi ll f l ash a brief confirmation message: “ Device Locked! ”
5. T he status disp l ayed on the Pane l Lock screen wi ll state “ LOCK E D! ”
Unlocking the amplifier
1. Go to the Pane l Lock screen by pressing the S ET UP button.
2. Press the S E L E C T encoder knob to access the password screen.
3. E nter the access code by using the S E L E C T encoder knob. Rotate the knob to scro ll through the character l ist, and then se l ect characters by pressing. With each
press on the S E L E C T encoder knob, the password cursor wi ll advance l eft to right by one space.
4. T he amp l ifier wi ll automatica ll y un l ock when you se l ect the fina l character for the access code. T he disp l ay wi ll f l ash a brief confirmation message: “ Un l ocked. ”
5. T he status disp l ayed on the Pane l Lock screen wi ll state “ O FF . ”
NOT E : Connecting the amp l ifi er to a PC via USB a ll ows the user to un l ock the device shou l d the password be forgotten. T his function is performed through the PD X
Contro ll er software.
4.3.3 SETUP 3/4: Device Name
E ach PD X DSP amp l ifi er can be individua ll y named for easy identifi cation within a rack or remote l y via the PD X Contro ll er software.
Naming the amplifier
1. Access the Device Name screen by pressing the S ET UP button.
2. Press the S E L E C T encoder knob to access the editing screen.
3. Choose the backwards arrow by turning the S E L E C T knob and press it to de l ete the existing characters of the current preset name.
4. Rotate the S E L E C T encoder to se l ect new characters from the row above the current amp l ifier name.
5. I nsert se l ected characters into the new amp l ifier name by pressing the S E L E C T encoder knob. Once you se l ect and insert a character, the editing cursor wi ll change
direction and advance from l eft to right.
6. Save the new amp l ifier name by pressing the DOWN arrow key to activate the SAV E TIT L E function.
4.3.4 SETUP 4/4: Contrast
T he Contrast screen a ll ows you to adjust the LCD screen’s contrast l eve l . T he Contrast parameter ranges from 1 – 30, with 30 representing maximum contrast. Rotate
the S E L E C T encoder knob to adjust the Contrast setting.
Saving a preset
1. Make sure the “ Save Preset ” option appears on the screen. (Rotate the S E L E C T encoder to togg l e between “ Load Preset ” and “ Save Preset. ” )
2. Press the S E L E C T encoder knob to access the DSP’s interna l Preset l ist on the next sub-screen. T he correct sub-screen wi ll disp l ay the E D IT TIT L E and SAV E PR E S ET
options on the right-hand side of the screen.
3. Scro ll through the l ist unti l you find an E MP TY Preset s l ot or another Preset you wish to overwrite.
4. I f you wish to edit your Preset tit l e before saving, press the UP arrow button to choose the E D IT TIT L E option.
5. E dit the Preset tit l e (see “E diting the Preset ” tit l e be l ow).
6. Se l ect the SAV E PR E S ET option by pressing the DOWN arrow key.
Editing a Preset title
1. Make sure the “ Save Preset ” option appears on the screen. (Rotate the S E L E C T encoder to togg l e between “ Load Preset ” and “ Save Preset. ” )
2. Press the S E L E C T encoder knob to access the DSP’s interna l Preset l ist on the next sub-screen. T he correct sub-screen wi ll disp l ay the E D IT TIT L E and SAV E PR E S ET
options on the right-hand side of the screen.
3. Scro ll through the Preset l ist by rotating the S E L E C T encoder knob.
4. Se l ect a Preset s l ot as a save destination by pressing the S E L E C T encoder knob.
5. Press the UP arrow button to se l ect the E D IT TIT L E function. T he E D IT TIT L E window wi ll appear, with a l phanumeric characters in a row at the top and the current
tit l e direct l y be l ow with the editing cursor.
6. Se l ect the backward arrow from the row of characters by rotating the S E L E C T knob unti l the backward arrow is high l ighted.
7 . Press the S E L E C T encoder knob to erase characters. T he cursor wi ll erase characters from right to l eft across the existing tit l e.
8. Rotate the S E L E C T encoder to se l ect new characters from the row above the current Preset tit l e.
9. I nsert se l ected characters into the Preset tit l e by pressing the S E L E C T encoder knob. Once you se l ect and insert a character, the editing cursor wi ll change direction
and advance from l eft to right.
10. Save the new Preset tit l e by pressing the DOWN arrow key to activate the SAV E PR E S ET function.
4.3.2 SETUP 2/4: Panel Lock
T he Pane l Lock function uses a 4-character a l phanumeric access code to l ock the front pane l contro l s and prevent unauthorized changes to DSP settings.
Current settings can sti ll be viewed whi l e the unit is l ocked, but the parameters cannot be changed.
T he amp l ifi er can on l y be l ocked or un l ocked from the Pane l Lock screen.
