Installing Ground Detection Connection
Ground detection detects if the battery becomes grounded. Ground
detection is available on all A75D(E) units. If the battery is set up as
floating, it is recommended that ground detection be enabled. If the
battery is either positively or negatively grounded, it is recommended that
ground detection be disabled.
Ground Detection Connection Procedure
Before making any connections to the A75D(E) ensure that the AC Power
is off at the main breaker box and that both of the units’ breakers are off.
To disable ground detection, move the Green Wire to the
Gnd Det
Defeat
contact. To enable ground detection, move the Green Wire back
to the
Gnd Det
contact.

Optional Communication Cards
La Marche offers a variety of communications options. The optional Communication Cards, allow the customer
to remotely connect to the A75D(E) battery charger with the protocol that best suits the installation. The
protocols available are IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP 3.0 and SNMP. There are three different ports for connection
to the communication card. The three port types for connection are: RS232, RS485 and TCP (Ethernet).
NOTE: Not all ports are available on all communication cards
Communication Interface Connection Procedure
Before making any connections to the A75D(E) ensure
that the AC Power is off at the main breaker box and
that both of the units’ breakers are off. Choose which
port to use for connection. Connect the appropriate
cable between the port on the communication card and
the port on the computer.
For details on connection instructions as well as operation instructions refer to the specific communications
instruction manual included with the A75D(E) instruction manual package.
For list of available communication
options refer to the A75D(E) datasheet.
