6.0 BACK-UP BATTERY
Program and System data is stored in battery backed RAM (random access
memory). The battery is only used when the unit is not powered and life expectancy
is around 5 years. If the low battery warning is displayed you should replace the
battery as soon as possible to ensure you do not loose data.
BEFORE YOU START:
The DPF3103 contains dangerous voltages so ensure you disconnect the mains
supply
The unit uses Static sensitive devices so do take ESD precautions
Do not touch the components on any of the printed circuit boards
PROCEDURE:
To change the back-up battery remove the 8 off M2.5 countersunk screws securing
the cover. The battery is located on the main board, see diagram.
The battery is removed by lifting the metal tag and sliding the battery out of the
holder. You now have 30 seconds to replace the battery so unpack the replacement
and have it ready before removing the old one. Fit with the '+' side facing upper most.
The battery is a Lithium 3V, 260mAh, diameter 24.5mm coin cell. Suitable
replacements include Duracell BP2330 or VARTA CR2430.
