Description of Conducted Tests

Crash survival tests were performed in accor-
dance with EUROCAE ED–56A, sections 2.8
& 5.3/ED–55, section 7.1.
Notes:
1. Tested for certification of Part Number 2100–1020–00 SSCVR, 120 Minute,
EQF 905–E1751–63.
2. Category A2 is used for decompression and overpressure tests because these tests are not
specified by Category F2. Decompression from Category A2 is performed at the F2 altitude.
Overpressure is performed at the Category A2 specified pressure.
3. For helicopter installations and other severe environments, vibration mount Part Number
9300–343 or equivalent, or heavy duty vibration mount Part Number 93–955 or equivalent, are
recommended.
Remarks:
All tests except Crash Safety (Sustained), RTCA/DO-160C paragraph 7.3.2.2, Explosion
Proofness, RTCA/DO–160C paragraph 9.0, and Impact Shock, EUROCAE ED–56A paragraph
5.3.2a, were conducted at L-3 Communications, Aviation Recorders, Sarasota, Florida.
Crash Safety (Sustained) tests were conducted at Baker Electronics, Sarasota, Florida.
Explosion Proofness tests were conducted at E-Systems, Inc., ECI Division, St. Petersburg,
Florida. Impact Shock tests, EUROCAE ED-56A paragraph 5.3.2a, were conducted at the
University of Dayton Research Institute, Dayton, Ohio.
