The heater can be operated with or without duct work attached to
the inlet or discharge outlet. The duct length depends on the heaters
air flow restriction. The less the restriction (less bends) the longer
the duct run. If you are experiencing frequent high limit tripping or
air pressure switch cycling, reducing the duct length or straightening
the duct will be required.
Forklift Pockets
Commander 500: 500-133940A
Commander 1000: 500-133940B
Optional forklift pockets can be installed to the underside of the
Commander heaters to act as a guide for the forks during
loading and unloading operations.
Remote Display Unit (RDU)
500-133951
The RDU is a digital set point space temperature control that can be
hardwired to the controls to operate the heater remotely.
Remote Thermostat
500-09381
An optional remote single stage thermostat can be hardwired to the
controls to operate the heater from any heat output when there is
a call for heat to a lower heat output when the space temperature
is satisfied. See programming section on page 13 to setup the
Temperature Controller to operate with the remote thermostat.

NOTE:
When using the remote thermostat option, set
the Temperature Controller “rEtd” to “StAt” mode,
also the “dhi” must be set to the highest desired
discharged temperature setting, and “SP” set to the
lowest desired discharge temperature setting. There
must be at least 10°F (-12°C) difference between
“dhi” and “SP” temperature settings. If the thermostat
gets damage, fails, or wires are cut, the heater will
go to the “SP” setpoint. See page 13, Temperature
Controller for temperature ranges. The remote
thermostat must be wired to the terminal blocks as
shown below.
