Verify that the back of the enclosures are positively fastened by checking that each angle bar is
secured via the spring-loaded pin and that the pin is returned to the fully engaged position.
6.
Continue to raise the assembly in order to attach the rest of the enclosures to complete the array.
Note:
As the system is being raised, be sure to connect the appropriate speakon cables corresponding to the KIVA
or KILO in the configuration.
In using a combination of KIVA and KILO elements in a flown configuration the KILO enclosures
must always be positioned at the top of the array.
Never position KILO in between two KIVA enclosures.
6.1.4
Taking down the system
1.
When lowering the system, position the lowest enclosure so that it is approximately 1.2m (4ft) above the ground (or
to a comfortable height which will allow the user to detach the bottom enclosure of the array).
2.
Pull back the spring-loaded pin on the second to last KIVA in the array. It may help to slightly lift the bottom
enclosure, in order to release the angle bar located in the slot housing in back of the enclosure, then leave it loosely
hanging.
3.
Gently lower the bottom enclosure until it comes to rest, secured only by the front points.
4.
Replace the angle bar in the back of the bottom KIVA by pulling back the spring-loaded pin, placing the bar in the
center slot and releasing the pin so that it secures.
For the KILO enclosure the angle bar will be placed securely in the center slot of the enclosure and held in place
magnetically.
5.
Standing in front of the array, position your hands to the front of the bottom enclosure in the array, place them
inside the grip handles. Release the locking mechanism with fingers on the right hand. The locking mechanism is
located within the right side grip on the enclosure. (The right side of the enclosure corresponds to the logo on the
front face).
6.
Remove the enclosure by disengaging the locking mechanism and moving it laterally towards the right in order to
free up the bottom enclosure from the one above.
Make sure you have a firm grasp on the enclosure you are removing, because it will not be
connected to the array above nor will there be anything supporting it.
7.
Repeat steps 1 through 6 for the remainder of the enclosures in the array. Disconnecting the KIBU from the top
enclosure is carried out in the opposite order of how it was assembled by reversing the order described in steps 2.
through 5. of section 6.1.1.
