5.2 Mounting accessory KIET
The mounting accessory L-ACOUSTICS ® KIET is exclusively dedicated to support L-ACOUSTICS ® KIVA and
KILO enclosures in a distributed configuration . It consists of the main part , called KIET , and a removable pole
adapter assembly .
The main part shown in Figure 3 is adapted for attaching both KIVA or KILO. It can be suspended from a structure or
ceiling (typically for use under-balcony with a KIVA enclosure for example). It is possible to secure the KIET to a
structure using three 10mm/0.4’’-diameter screws (not provided).
It is the sole responsibility of the user to verify that the KIET is correctly secured to the structure and
that its installation was performed by a trusted professional.
L-ACOUSTICS recommends securing to a concrete ceiling using expansion anchors designed to
support at least 5 times the total load of the system (the weight of the product is notated on the
identification label of each product).
The KIET is capable of rigging up to 2 KIVA enclosures or 1 KILO enclosure.

The pole adapter assembly is affixed to the KIET by four 8mm/0.3’’-diameter bolts. Using this attachment makes it
possible to adapt the KIET to a pole stand (35 mm / 1.4’’ diameter). These holes also mate to the OMNIMOUNT
®
120.0 SERIES mounts.
