Inquiring for and Receiving
New Mail
You can inquire for and receive new mail if
"Auto-receive" is set to OFF or there is an e-mail
receive failure.

From the standby screen, press

The folder list is displayed.

Confirm whether there is new e-mail.
SMS (C-mail)
Sending SMS
You can send messages (mail text body) with
kanji, hiragana, katakana, alphabet and
numbers, symbol, Emoji, and (^_^) (facemarks).

From the standby screen, hold down

for at least 1 second
Alternatively, to access the screen from the
standby screen,

The SMS menu screen is displayed.

[Create new]

When sending SMS to a contact who you
received SMS from before, you can also select
a message to "Reply" in the inbox to create
SMS. In this instance, proceed to step

.

[Address book]/[Direct input] →
Enter the phone number of a
recipient
Select a recipient from the phone book or
directly enter it.
Before sending SMS overseas, enter "010" and
the "country code" at the start of the phone
number for the recipient.
"010" + "country code" + "phone
number for recipient"
* If quoting the cell phone number for the recipient from the
phone book, etc., select the recipient entry field again and
enter "010" and the "country code".
* If the cell phone number for the recipient starts with a "0",
enter the number without the "0".

Enter text
You can enter up to 670 2-byte/1,530 1-byte
characters in the mail text.
* You can enter up to 70 2-byte/160 1-byte characters in
the mail text to devices from other domestic/overseas
mobile operators.
