Using the On-Line Manual
The CD-ROM included with this printer contains a PDF (Printer Description File) that explains the various
functions of the Printer Server, Printer Driver and Status Monitor. Carry out the following procedure to
access this information.
1. Start up Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0.
2. Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive and double-click on My Computer.
3. Double-click on the icon for the CD-ROM drive in which the CD-ROM was inserted. Open the Manual
folder in the open window and double-click on the “ar302(1).exe” file in that folder to install Acrobat
Reader. (Acrobat Reader is a proprietary application for reading documents saved in PDF format.)
4. Copy the “MANU EN.pdf” file for the On-Line Manual from the same window onto your hard disk.
5. Double-click on the “MANU EN.pdf” file that you copied onto your hard disk in order to open the PDF
document. The table of contents is located at the top of the file. Refer to the desired section.
