following:
•

Configure LAN Settings (Optional)
At the third page of the wizard, you can make any
necessary changes to the following LAN settings:
•
IP ADDRESS
: Change the default IP address
•
SUBNET MASK
: Change the default subnet mask
•
DHCP MODE
: Set to “ON” or “OFF” (If DHCP is on,
select a
DHCP START
and
DHCP END
range)
As you’ll see on the next page, the BDU’s Ethernet ports
can be split into two LANs for connecting to either the
VSAT High-speed (HS) channel or Unlimited Use (UL)
channel. You can modify the settings for both of these
LANs. Note that these settings will apply to the BDU ports
designated as “High-speed LAN” or “Unlimited Use LAN,”
even while connected to the Internet via cellular or shore
Wi-Fi, which do not employ separate data channels.
Note:
By default, the High-speed (HS) LAN has a gateway
of 192.168.5.1 and assigns IP addresses in the
192.168.5.50-150 range, and the Unlimited Use (UL) LAN
has a gateway of 192.168.6.1 and assigns IP addresses in
the 192.168.6.50-150 range.

IMPORTANT!
The default LAN settings work well for most
installations. Do not change these settings unless
absolutely necessary, such as to avoid conflicts with an
existing onboard network.
