Some networks may have firewall rules that prevent unknown devices from connecting to the
network. Make sure you are allowed to connect.
Note that if you connect the BlackBird to a network that allows both WPA-PSK and WPA2-
PSK you must use WPA-PSK currently.
9.5 Scan for networks
Use the Browse networks button in the parameter setter to check that the WLAN network you
want to connect to is listed.
9.6 Check IP number and network mask
If you have opted to use DHCP, check in the Info tab of the parameter setter that a
reasonable IP number has been assigned. If you have set a static IP, make sure both the IP
number and Network mask are correct.
9.7 Check that your PC and Blackbird recognize each other (ad-hoc
mode)
Open up the Wireless Network Connection window (Start->Settings->Network Connections,
and then right-click on your wireless connection and choose View Available Wireless
Networks) and select your ad-hoc network.
In the Wireless Network Connection window, the button at the lower right corner should be
labeled "Disconnect" (your PC is connected to the ad-hoc network named KvaserNet6).
