3.  In the Wireless Network Connection, select the newly created ad-hoc network and 

click Connect. 

 
You may now be asked to enter the security key, and then the PC will start looking for other 
devices on the ad-hoc network.  
 
 

 
 
Since we haven't configured the BlackBird, the PC will not find any devices yet. You can 
safely leave this running and continue below. 
 
To check that the new IP settings have taken effect, you may start a command window (Start-
>Run… cmd) and issue the command ipconfig.
