The connection speed should be between 1 and 54 Mbit/s, (in infrastructure mode, 
ad-hoc is supporting max 11 Mbit/s) depending on the received signal strength and 
data amount to be sent.  

 

The signal strength should be between -75 dBm and -30 dBm. 

 
You may want to check the Info tab as well: 
 

 

 
On this tab you should check that the “Device IP Address” is a valid address on your network. 
 

5.9  Supplying external power to the device 

 
Before you can start using your BlackBird, you have to end the Kvaser Wireless Configuration 
and remove the device from USB.  
 
Don’t forget to supply external power to the device. Use 7 - 40 V DC on CAN channel 1, +V 
on pin 9 and ground on pin 3.
