Establishing a WLAN connection between the soldering station and
a network
This chapter describes the integration and operation of the soldering station with a
WLAN network.
– The PC that is used as a server must be compatible with the network.
– The “Ersa TRACE” app is used to integrate an i-CON TRACE soldering station
into the WLAN.
Info: Alternatively, the soldering station can also be integrated into a LAN network.

5.8.1
Connecting the soldering station to the WLAN through the “Ersa TRACE”
app
If the MAC address is required to register the soldering station in the network, you
can find it on the type plate.

The preparatory steps for commissioning were carried out. Read more about
this in Chapter Before commissioning.

Location sharing is enabled on the mobile device.
No location data is collected. The data protection guidelines of Kurtz Holding
GmbH & Co Beteiligungs KG apply.

Only 2.4 GHz WLAN is supported.
a) Download the “Ersa TRACE” app to your smartphone or tablet from Google
Play Store or Apple App Store and install the app. Below are the QR codes for
direct access to App Stores:

b) Switch on Bluetooth on the mobile device and start the “Ersa TRACE” app.

You are within the range of coverage of the soldering station’s Bluetooth con-
nection.

The soldering iron has now been placed in the support stand.
