7.4 Power Output Fuses
Every output channel has its own two-way fuse. The Channel State word in-
dicates the state of the fuses.
In case of an error, qualified persons may replace the fuse in conformity with
ESD directives.
Qualified persons only to be trusted with installing, servicing, modifying and
re-fitting in conformity with the general setup and safety regulations on work-
ing with power installations,
Components at risk of electrostatic exposure:
Only touch the circuit board and connector pins with your fingers and tools in
conformity with ESD directives.
ESD-compliant handling of circuit boards is described in DIN EN 61340-5-1
Electrostatics - Part 5-1: Protection of electronic devices from electrostatic
phenomena.
7.4.1 Replacing the Fuses
Safety first! Turn off the power supply of the thermo-controller before replac-
ing the fuses.
The output channel fuses are located on a circuit board inside the device. To
replace the fuses, remove the 4 screws holding the front panel. Then pull the
PCB stack out of the device frame.
Safety first! After replacing the PCB stack to the device frame and before
restarting the thermo-controller, firmly tighten all four screws to put the front
panel back into place.
