Wheel Rake

9.3

Center splitter wheel

Kit no. 18967789

The center splitter wheel is used to fluff the center
part of the windrow. It can be used when raking
multiple windrows together or after mowers or
tedders have been used.

9.3.1 Locking center splitter wheel in 

transport position

The center splitter wheels can be locked to prevent
them from lowering to the working position during
operation or transportation.

To lock the center splitter wheels in the
transport position:

- Activate tractor hydraulics and raise the rake

wheels until they stop.  The hydraulic hoses for
controlling the rake wheel position will be marked
with orange bands.

- Engage the splitter wheels' shut-off lock valve.

Rotate the lock handle clockwise until it stops.

Before adjusting, maintaining or repairing
the machine, perform the safety shutdown
procedure.
