8. - Instructions for work

Wheel Rake

Setting the machine to one way 

raking/windrow turning position

Both the optional shut-off lock valve and the
selector valve are normally in position A.  They
both must be switched to position B to set the
machine to one way raking/windrow turning
position.

 

From the transport position:

- Engage the optional shut-off lock valve on the left 
lift cylinder to prevent its rake wheels from moving to 
the working position.

- Engage the selector valve to prevent the left rake 
arm beam from moving into working position.

- Activate tractor hydraulics and fold the rake arms 
outward to the desired raking width.

- Activate tractor hydraulics to lower the rake wheels 
until the lift cylinder rods stop pushing.

The machine is in windrow turning position.

Before placing the machine in one way
raking/windrow turning position:

- Check that nobody is within the machine
pivoting area.

- If there is someone, make sure the person
moves away.

Before adjusting, maintaining or repairing
the machine, perform the safety shutdown
procedure.
