Disk mower
To check the ground pressure
From the working position:
- Check that the chassis height is correct (H). Hitch
pins should be at 2’ (620 mm) from the ground
when using a two-point hitch, and 13’’-22’’ (330-
560 mm) from the ground when using a drawbar
hitch.
- Simultaneously lift and push the mowing unit
rearwards.
- The force (F) must be of approximately 60
daN (135 lbs) on each side.
- Readjust if necessary.
The force (F) must exceed 50 daN (110 lbs)
on each side. The force (F) should not be
reduced to less than 50 daN (110 lbs) on
either side.
To improve the quality of cut on hilly fields,
increase mowing unit ground pressure (5 to 20
crank turns).
In case an obstacle has been struck, check
that the mowing unit has not been damaged.
