Instructions for work
Replacing the side skids
The machine is factory set with low skids.
Additional skids are supplied with the machine:
- Remove the 4 nuts (2).
- Remove 4 bolts (1).
- Remove side skids.
- Fit side skids corresponding to the central skid
adjustment height.
- Reinstall bolts (1) and nuts (2):
• Torque: 8.5 daN m (63 lbf ft).
Side skids Cutting height
Lower 30 mm (1.2’’)
Middle 40 mm (1.6’’)
Raised 80 mm (3.2’’)
Too low a cutting height can lead to:
- Excessive disc and knife wear.
- Crop being contaminated by soil.
- Delay in regrowth.
