Instructions (Cont.)
• To stop the heating process at any time during operation, press the On/Off
switch upwards, or simply lift the kettle off the base and then set it down
again. The switch will pop up into the OFF position.
• To re-boil the water, allow the kettle to cool for 15~20 seconds before
pushing down the switch again to boil the water.
• The kettle may be stored on the power base but make sure the power supply
is turned off when the kettle is not in use.
IMPORTANT!
• Boil-dry protection:
The kettle has an automatic shut-off feature that shuts
down power to the kettle if it is empty, preventing accidental operation
without water. Once this safety feature has been activated, unplug the kettle
and let it cool down for a few minutes before filling it with cold water.
• Minimum water level:
Do not switch the kettle on unless it contains at
least one cup of water. Misuse of this kind will shorten the life of the heating
element and void your warranty.
• Moisture on the base:
When you lift the kettle off the base, you may see
moisture on the surface of the base. This is the steam used to switch the
kettle off automatically, which then condenses and is allowed to escape via
vents in the underside of the kettle. When you lift the kettle off the base,
make sure to lift it vertically, do not lift it backwards, as this may allow water
to pass through the steam aperture onto the control area. Should this occur,
the kettle must be allowed to dry before use.
