Prawn, Avocado & Bocconcini Pizza
Ingredients
Casa Barelli pizza base
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2-3 tbsp tomato paste
2 cans tomatoes, chopped
Pinch of oregano
½ cup water
Fresh basil
Sauce Method
1. Fry the onion and garlic in olive oil until translucent, then add the tomato paste and fry for a
further 2 minutes.
2. Add tomatoes, water and oregano bring to the boil and season with salt and pepper.
3. Gently simmer for 30 minutes. If you don’t want the sauce too thick or thin, adjust the
amount of water.
Method
1. Pre-heat your Pizza Oven at 150°C for at least 5 minutes (either with the pizza stone or pizza
pan in the oven).
2. Spread the pre-made pizza sauce over the pizza base.
3. Roughly layer torn basil leaves around the base, then spread the sliced bocconcini and raw
prawns over the pizza. Top with cheese followed by slices of avocado.
4. Sprinkle with chili powder/flakes and freshly grated parmesan cheese around the top.
5. Transfer the pizza onto the pan/stone, then select the desired heating element setting,
temperature, time and your Pizza Oven will do the rest.
4-6 bocconcini balls, sliced
12 raw prawns, shelled and tailed
Avocado, sliced
Chili powder or dried chili flakes
Parmesan cheese
2 cloves of garlic, crushed and
soaked in ¼ cup of olive oil
